Mitsu didn't like it when he was the one have to deal with the visions of the future. He had been trained to deal with them, minimally, but even so, his overall control wasn't that great. He much preferred it when his sister was the one with the majority of the powers, and he had just enough to have a vague sense of whether he was in danger or not. As it was, now that he had to deal with the future thing, he preferred to be alone. Normally, he had no problem meeting with customers, and chatting, and generally playing friendly host, but when half the time, you almost knew what they were going to say before they even thought it, it got very annoying. He was being slightly hyperbolic of course. Maybe. Just a little.
Anyways, that morning, he had gotten up, and immediately known that there were things in store for both him and Amaya that day. He was hit with the name of a local dress shop, and the Flute and Dragon, a very expensive tavern that Amaya and him sometimes visited, as well as a couple of names: Aiyana and Iye. He had no idea of the significance of these names or places, but he knew that Amaya would have to be the one at the shop and tavern - mostly because he would not go into a dress store alone just for the purpose of meeting someone who wouldn't know that he already knew them and had a very good idea of what they would do. It was a smarter idea to send Amaya.
He had just finished getting dressed when he heard a knock on the door. Realizing that it was the cook, he let out a slight curse and ran downstairs to let the cook in. "My apologies Rosi, I'm afraid I was a little pre-occupied this morning." he told the red-headed woman. The cook gave a chuckle as she walked into the kitchen, grabbing an apron of the hook and tying it around her waist. Leaning over, she began to stock the fire as she spoke. "That time of the month is it Mr. Matsumoto?" she asked. Mitsu simply nodded his head, muttering to himself as he retreated back upstairs to see if Amaya was up yet. He didn't worry about Rosi's question; the woman knew about his and Amaya's powers, and was actually something of a mage herself, although her powers weren't exactly what most mages would consider 'useful' magic. According to her at least.
He hadn't even reached the top of the stairs when he knew that Amaya was no up yet. However, knowing that she had retired early due to a headache the day prior, he didn't wake her up, knowing that she would be miffed with him if he did. Instead he settled down in the chair that sat out in the hall to wait.
Eventually, Mitsu decided he could wait no longer if he was going to make him own appointment and stalked downstairs. "Rosi, go wake Amaya up. It's getting on in the morning and she has important thing to do today that she can't miss!" he exclaimed as he stalked out the door, only realizing after he had stepped out into the street that it was raining.
He didn't want to go back inside and get an umbrella though, so instead he ducked his head and hurried quickly down the street, wanting to get away from the people. Pretty soon, he was out of town and among the tress of Amber Forest. He both liked, and disliked the forest, it reminded him of when he lived with his family among the elves, and although there were plenty of good memories, it was always the bad ones that came up when he thought of his family, in particular, his wife and child.
He strolled silently through the trees, moving as only an elf could through the sea of trees. Even though he lived among humans, he was still very much an elf at heat, and there were habits and actions that would always be there. It was nice to be alone with his thoughts, so he could focus and hope that something, anything would pop up regarding his beloved wife and son.
All of a sudden, he became accutely aware of the fact that he wasn't alone, and that somebody was about to attack him. He made no notion of this however, instead still acting as though he was unsuspecting while he crouched down to 'look' at the flowers on a bush, all the while reaching for one of the many hidden weapons he always carried.
