The Kahului Kingdom Rank Descriptions

First Rank: Kahului of Mystara
New comers into the Elven Kingdom, they must first prove themselves before being fully accepted. If another Race wishes to join Kahului they will be placed here and will not be able to move up to any other rank.


Second Rank: Kahului Torojael
Upper Elven society, those who have shown their worth and interest in continuing the prosperity of the clan. This role delves into becoming a vital and productive member of the clan.


Third Rank: Taur-Ohtar, Ohtar, Amandi, Istar, Yaaraer
After showing an interest in the society, it is now that an elf must choose his/her role within the clan. Individual elves will pick a trade or apprenticeship that they can excel in and help to farther build the Kingdom, as well as, their own skills. It is up to each individual to seek out the corresponding Cora to the role they desire and see what expectations must be met to acheive the desired role. The Cora then reports the new elves to the Tari, and he/she will add them to the group.

Taur-Ohtar: (Ranger)
The scout or runner for the race. The Ranger primarily gathers intel, runs missions, and delivers letters. The Rangers directly answer to the Tadal (Captain) that has been appointed the head of the Guard.


Ohtar: (Warrior)
The defender of the Kahului. These brave warriors will be posted throughout the Village in order to protect all other Elves and assure our home is safe. All Warriors also directly answer to the Tadal.

Ar'Tira: (Royal Guard)
These elves are the uniformed sentinels of our Tari's Royal Family. These personal bodyguards of the crown are hand-picked by his/her Majesty. As such, their skills and backgrounds are mixed and varied, offering a plethora of skills and knowledge that might aid in protecting his/her family from harm. Generally, the Ohtar are the primary prospectives to fill these roles, but elves in other walks of life may still be selected, if valor and virtue are displayed. All Royal Guard answer directly to their Captain.

Amandi: (Healer)
Healers specialize in herbs and salves and serve as the Medics/Doctors of the race. These skilled elves are our first line of defense from battle wounds, sickness and other mysterious illnesses. It is preferred that all elves seek out a healer before venturing to the human infirmary. The humans are, afterall, unpractible with their limited knowledge and strange practices. Elvish medicine is always best.

Istar: (Mage)
Mages are to provide aide to the Warriors if there is an attack on Kahului. In addition, these highly adapt elves are to become masters in their field of magic. Mages are what help keep the spirit of the elves alive, for we are beings innate with natural magic. It is said that Elven mages wield power unlike any other.

Yaaraer: (Priest/ess)
An Acolyte's duties vary in helping to perform ceremonies with the High Priest(ess), giving blessings, providing guidance, and helping other elves with their spirtual paths.

Fourth Rank: Shori Vaesyl (Wise Person)
The Shori Vaesyl are experts in the race and in race history. They have dedicated their time with the scholars in pursuing further knowledge and have shown the utmost promise. As such, they are respected by the clan and the Tari. They are often the backbone of the society, as elves value knowedge highly. Scholars are our first defense against enemies and attacks. They provide valuable knowledge to us of our enemies strengths and weaknesses, background, and culture. Also, they help us understand the value in gaining allies of other clans, because there is always something that can be learned from another. It is with their advice and council that we are able to learn a great deal.


Fifth Rank: Eldalie Cora (Council)
The Elven Cora is a group of seven Elves hand-picked by his/her Majesty after showing utmost loyalty and dedication to the group. They serve the Tari as Council in all his/her decision making. They always have his/her ear, and he/she will consult them in every matter that comes to Kahului. They also serve as judges in the matter that an Elf or guest in the village is found to have violated Elven Law.

Sixth Rank: Elven Tari
The Tari is the leader, the king/queen of the Kingdom. There is only one Tari and is generally the one who inherited the title, their spouse will be highly regarded but have no say in court unless they hold a Cora title. The Tari oversee the welfare of their entire clan, although all decisions are run through the Cora (council) the Tari have the final say. The first offspring of the Tari will be the next Tari, if they have no offspring then the Cora will elect someone to succeed them.
